Anderson. The original Dune prologue tells the story of how Rossak’s sister evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice is from one called « Mentats of Dune. » The development of the Sisters, Mentats, Navigators, and Suk Doctors intertwines throughout all three books.
So what is the « formula »?
I’ve read and watched a lot of fantasy/sci-fi in my life and I believe I can instantly identify a winner, whether it’s The Fifth Element, Lord of the Rings, Edge of Tomorrow, The Matrix, GOT or 12 Monkeys. . I’ve seen EVERY classic – too many to mention here.
It just grabs you and you have to see more!
The plot and characters draw you in, there are some amazing surprises, it’s real…etc. I agree that some of the lesser actors aren’t that great… and it’s unlikely that swordMASTER will be that ridiculously young…
A classic production all round
but overall the series so far is engaging, watchable and has a lot of excitement. The "Prophecy" element is delicious and I’m really looking forward to what happens next.
