It tells the story of three completely different families who compete for the right to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that, in their opinion, will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano both appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present). I was surprised to see the show’s ratings drop so much, but it made more sense after seeing a bunch of reviews explaining how it didn’t make it after the first episode. The show is a slow-paced detective story that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it very funny and entertaining with the tone of Liz Feldman, which I like. I really liked the cast and everyone’s performances. At first, I wasn’t sure about Ray Romano because of my own prejudices (I couldn’t separate him from « Everybody Loves Raymond » for the life of me), but that happened very quickly. All the characters have their own side stories that make for a mess that gradually, if not completely, unfolds. By the last episode, I was pretty much hooked, even though I figured out the major twist of events pretty quickly. But I’m not mad about it. I’d love to see more of this show and I hope they get a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
