Plot
Fleeing postwar Europe, visionary architect László Toth arrives in America to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after being separated during the war by changing borders and regimes. Alone in a strange new land, László settles in Pennsylvania, where wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for construction. But power and legacy come at a high cost.
